Statement of Faith

What We Believe

Living Waters Church International is a Spirit-led Christian ministry founded on the principles of God's Word. The following statements represent our core beliefs and doctrinal positions based on the Holy Scriptures.

The Holy Bible

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and life. It is without error in its original writings and is the complete revelation of God's will for salvation.

The Trinity

Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.

God the Father

John 3:16; Ephesians 4:6

He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is perfect in holiness, wisdom, and love. He hears and answers prayer.

Jesus Christ

John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:5-11

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, was resurrected bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He will return again in power and glory.

The Holy Spirit

John 14:16-17, 26; Acts 1:8

The Holy Spirit is a divine person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, indwells, seals, and empowers all believers for service and holy living.

Salvation

Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16

Salvation is a free gift of God received through personal faith in Jesus Christ alone. It involves repentance from sin and acceptance of Christ as Lord and Savior.

Water Baptism

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38

Following salvation, believers are commanded to be baptized in water by immersion as a public declaration of their faith in Christ.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Acts 1:5, 2:4, 10:44-46

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience distinct from salvation that empowers believers for ministry and service, often accompanied by speaking in tongues.

Spiritual Gifts

1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:6-8

The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the church and the advancement of God's kingdom. These gifts are operational today.

Divine Healing

Isaiah 53:4-5; James 5:14-16

Healing is provided in the atonement of Christ and is available to all believers through prayer and faith.

The Church

Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:11-16

The Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers. Its mission is to worship God, edify believers, and evangelize the world.

The Second Coming

Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to earth. The dead in Christ will be resurrected, and living believers will be caught up to meet the Lord.

Resurrection and Judgment

John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15

All people will be resurrected—believers to eternal life with God, and unbelievers to eternal separation from God.
